All;

Well .. it looks like SCN is really having some trouble these days!
Not only has it been always terribly slow, hard to search, applied
improper censorship, unstable, unavailable, etc - now the whole
registration precess has been stopped!

Another good reason to leave the current News Groups in place - or -
maybe the PB community needs to start its own instead of replying on SCN!!!!

This is the current message on SCN ...
=> Please note that SCN registration is temporarily suspended. We
apologize for any inconvenience. (Current members are able to log in
normally and have full function within SCN.)

If you would have read my instructions for creating an account in an
earlier post, you would have know how to get your account created. Just
follow the instructions.

If not, instructions are given below:

If somebody follows the instructions I provided, they would reach the
point where you get the confirmation that your account is created. If
they attempted to login, they would recieve the error information that
I included in those instructions.

At that point, once again as indicated in the instructions, you send
the account information that you registered with to Sue, she then
passses it on to the folks at SAP so they can complete the account
registration.

It's all rather simple, you just need to follow the instructions.

It's also temporary. Somebody found a way to automatically create SCN
accounts and then spam the groups. They're working on a fix to get
the automatic registration going again. Personal opinion is that
they'll add something the CAPTCHA to the registration process to
ensure that its' actually a human filling it out. That's rather
typical for this kind of thing. In any event, once that's back in
place they'll open up the regular registration process.

The Sybase NNTP servers will be put into read-only mode in the near future.

New thread should be started in the SAP PowerBuilder Developer Center Forums

Hey Alex!

The problem occurs when you try to login and it attempts to create your
Jive account. If you can get in past that, then we're all good.
Otherwise, send Sue your login info.
